A Cherried Chianti

image

We bought this wine earlier this week, which is from the Tuscany region of Italy.  I don’t drink red wine easily as some are so full bodied and overwhelming but this particular Chianti appealed to my light palette.

It has sour notes with a soothing warm feeling as you sip.  I was amazed to sense the cherry flavour that I tasted almost immediately as it has mainly cherry notes running through it. An easy wine to drink and quite delicious. Went really well with a roasted vegetable oven baked pizza. I know I will be buying and drinking this again soon!

If you get the chance..Do try it and let me know how you like it.

Have a wonderful weekend friends.  I promise more food recipes coming up next week!  Much love, D x

Fresh Salsa Nachos

image

Dinner was ready but my husband very cheekily made some fresh salsa with cheese nachos. As soon as I realised he was chopping the ingredients, my camera quickly made an appearance. I captured quite a few pictures to share with you all.

I was soo tempted to eat some of the yummy ingredients as he prepped! But didn’t! It was totally worth the wait. You really can’t beat tangy fresh salsa, the flavours are incredible and with the cheese and crispiness of the tortilla….ummmm I don’t think I will have much dinner now!

INGREDIENTS

1 onion finely diced
1 tomato finely diced
2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
1 avocado diced
1 chilli deseeded finely chopped
1/2 juice of lime
Pinch of salt

I Like Beer..

image

Yes that’s what I said…I like beer! Occasionally I love having a bottle beer. I find it refreshing and thirst quenching. It all started in Paris when my then fiance, now husband went to the Hard Rock Café. I had my proper taste of beer, a Corona with a wedge of lime…yummmm!

Many women prefer wine to beer but wine gets to my head really quickly! I love fruity drinks too so when I saw the beer and fruit combination, I knew it was for me!

Raspberry Beer, I had had some in London once at the winter wonderland but this is the first time I bought it from the supermarket. I think I was attracted to the bottle in the way it was presented. Appeals very much to the female audience, all pretty and pink and the bottle wrapped nicely. It did the trick! I fell for the trap! Lol

Even though low in alcohol content, this beer still has quite an edge. You really get the beer hops taste and a little sour flavour which then leaves sweet raspberry notes on your palette as you swallow. A smooth drinking beer that is just so refreshing and perfect for the Summer weather! Ummm I think I will be buying this again! (This is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to share something different with you all)

What is your favourite drink and why? Look forward to your hearing from you all. Enjoy your Sunday…More food coming up tomorrow! Until then, much love D x
