I have always been fascinated by the science of Ayurveda which is a system of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent and a form of alternative remedies to alleviate illnesses on a physiological, emotional and to a point a spiritual level too.
I came across an article today online which evoked my love of Ayurveda. It was about 11 years ago that I bought my very first Ayurvedic book and took an interest into this massive science. How amazing it is that life gets so busy that you forget what once was of interest seems such a distant memory! But when the time is right it will be pointed out to you.
This is the right time for me to delve into this interesting world, especially now that I write about food and make up my own recipes.
So firstly I shall tell you about the article which ignited this spark within me ~ Natural hair loss remedy
Using onion and garlic by applying it to our hair as instructed in the article can reduce hair loss and make it much more healthier!
The reason why I will be trying this, is because after having my 2 young children my hair went through the usual phase of thickening in the pregnancy and then falling out
I was lucky not to see so much hair fall out but started to realise when new tufts of hair emerged along my foreline. I feel I can aid the process by trying this remedy out.
The great thing about Ayurveda is that food is not only eaten to alleviate varied symptoms but made and applied to give full effect also! I can’t wait to understand it more through food!
Much love D x
