I LOVE CHILLI! So know quite a bit about them. But this is the absolute first time, I have cooked with a habanero pepper and I was extremely excited!!
So much heat had to be accompanied with something succulently sweet. Thus enter the ever singing and dancing tropical MANGO. Then to spike the sauce up with some tangy lime to provide notes of sourness!
Ok…I’m going to stop talking about it now and here is the recipe for you all. The sauce has also made it’s way to the Fiesta Friday Party over @ Angie’s home The Novice Gardener.
Have a restful weekend and I will be back with my Fab 4 of the week…Much love D x
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp sunflower oil
Flesh of 1 large mango
1 habanero pepper
1 grated carrot
1 tomato chopped
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 whole lime juice
1 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp garlic granules
METHOD
● Heat up the oil in a medium saucepan on a medium heat. Throw in all the ingredients, stir and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes
● Pour into a food processor and blitz until smooth. You may wish to add a little water
● Serve with rustic potato chips…recipe coming up shortly!
Slurp!!! 😍
😉
Oh my gosh! Want this now!!!

This is one of the most beautiful sauces I’ve ever seen, Dimple! I absolutely adore mango, and during our mango season a few months ago, I began drizzling hot sauce over sliced mango…it was delicious! I’m sure I’ll love your chilli and mango sauce with a splash of lime. Can’t wait for next summer’s mango season so I can try this recipe and more chilli and mango combinations!
Thanks for bringing this gorgeous recipe to Fiesta Friday!! 😀

Yum! I hope you were able to breathe while cooking with habanero. When I make hot sauce I sometimes have to wear a mask! This looks like such a wonderful combination!
Hey Amanda..surprisingly I was ok. Though there was a warning on the packet to use gloves when handling but I didn’t…loved it!
This is superb Dimple. The sweet, and hot combination would be a winner. Im seriously drooling here! 🙂
Thanks so much Sadia…I’m still dreaming of your tiramisu x

Thank you honey…it was yummy…even though I say so myself 😉
Hehehe…. 😀
Chili Mango Sauce is ALWAYS my first choice with chicken!
Ummmm of course..Great combination!
Nice combination of ingredients
Thank you!
Mango in a sauce – you got my attention and with an orange Habanero pepper too! I guess you cannot substitute with another hot pepper or the color would change and certainly would not be as hot 🙂
Thank you so much…yes true but the mango gives it most of its colour so you could substitute a red chilli of you would like 🙂
Great idea…kind of a mango chutney done the colonial way. Love it.
What an amazing recipe. I wish I could have some right awayXx
Come round friend x
I love chilli and mango!! I’m not sure where I can find a habanero chilli around my parts but I’m sure going to look!!
Awesome…enjoy!
Mmmm, Dimple!! This is extraordinary! I love all of these flavours and like you, I have not yet tried to work with the infamous habanero! I think you have just given me an excuse! I can’t wait to try it 😀
Excellent…I’m sure you will enjoy it honey..thank you for your lovely words as always x
Now that’s what I call a sauce!! Amazing, Dimple!!
Thank you sweetheart x
Do you deliver Dimple? Hehe 🙂 I love spicy foods …is this sort of a sweet and spicy with the Mango? Sounds great!
It’ll take me a while…but I’ll get there to deliver soon lol xx yes it is sweet, sour and spicy x
great, what did you serve it with? Love habaneros, fruity, flowery and hot all at the same time, great idea to combine with mango
With some homemade rustic chips…recipe coming soon x
cool 🙂 looking forward.
This really is an excellent recipe, Dimple! Bookmarked, my dear! I’m growing tons of chili this year. Not the super-hot habanero, but plenty other hot varieties that should be good as substitutes.
I’m ecstatic that you like it Angie…I love being a part of your fantastic fiesta Friday party each week…
Habanero & mango!! Oooh that sounds like one lovely sauce Dimple!
Thank you so much!
I can use this sauce for my enchiladas, love this flavor. if you have time, stop by at my space some time too.

Hot, sweet, spicy. Ohh, this will complement so many things.
Gina
Glad you like it Gina!
Wooow! This really seems to be a spicy sauce, Dimple. I don’t think I’ve had Habanero pepper before. Is it the same with the bird’s eye chili? This sauce really sounds good, btw. 🙂 I missed you! ❤
It’s very similar..enjoy sweetie x
That color sue makes this one seductive chili sauce but the habanero scares me, Dimple. I’ll have to experiment. That’s always fun. 🙂
Awesome John…That’s the first time my food has been described as seductive!
Loved the combination of all
The ingredients to bring this sauce together 🙂
